About the Author

As editor of this website and the director of Early Childhood CDA Help, I welcome you!

My personal background includes a masters degree in early childhood education. I spent seven years teaching Kindergarten and first grade, and fifteen years teaching in a NAEYC accredited preschool. I have also served as a Parent Educator with the national Parents as Teachers program.

I am currently on the faculty at Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana in Indianapolis, as an associate professor of early childhood education, a CDA trainer, and a CDA Advisor to my students. I am also on the Council's CDA Advisor Registry and am a registered CDA Council Representative, conducting a minimum of 12 Verification Visits per year. With this background, I am in a unique position to understand the CDA process on many different levels.
